How GPA is Calculated
GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using quality points. Each letter grade is converted to a numeric value (e.g. A = 4.0 on the 4.0 scale). That value is multiplied by the course credit hours to get quality points. Your GPA is the sum of all quality points divided by the total credit hours completed. A course worth 3 credits with a grade of B (3.0) contributes 9 quality points.
