How to Play Boggle

Boggle is a classic word-finding game played on a 4×4 grid of random letters. Players must find as many valid English words as possible by connecting adjacent letters — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — without reusing the same letter tile in a single word. Words must be at least 3 letters long. Longer words score more points: 3-letter words score 1 point, 4-letter words score 2, 5-letter words score 3, and each additional letter adds another point.

The board is randomly generated each game using letter frequency weights so you're more likely to get vowels and common consonants than rare letters like Q and Z. You have 3 minutes to find as many words as you can. Click letters to build a word, then click Submit — or just type on your keyboard.
